Ingenium: the venture capital fund for innovative businesses
The Ingenium venture capital fund provides financial support to innovative businesses based in the Emilia-Romagna territory - preferably specializing in high-tech sectors - in their seed, start up, and expansion stages.
After the Objective 2 Ingenium venture capital fund (2000-2006), here comes the new Ingenium Emilia-Romagna II fund created thanks to the ERDF ROP ¿ Strand 2 Innovative Business Development. The Ingenium funding period will expire on 31/12/2013.
The financial resources of the new Ingenium fund amount to 14 MEUR, including 7 MEUR directly invested by the Emilia-Romagna Regional Government. The fund is managed by the Italian-Dutch joint venture Zernike-Meta Ventures and provides financial support to businesses based in Emilia-Romagna or willing to start up a local unit in Emilia-Romagna - characterised by national and international market potential.
