Tourism

Emilia-Romagna once again offers a widespread supply of tourism, based on a reception system concentrated on the Adriatic coast, one of the largest coastal resorts in Europe, to then extend from the Apennines to the cities of art, spa towns and natural parks.

On a strength of nearly fifty million visitors a year, Emilia-Romagna tourism is one of the top in Italy. An interesting aspect is the growth over recent years in the movement in tourists generated by natural heritage, comprising two national parks, 13 regional parks and 13 natural reserves, but the real discovery is the circuit of the cities of art (linked to the cultural and in particular enogastronomic itineraries). However, the strong point remains the Adriatic coast, with its renowned hotel structures and famous night life.

Visitors to the region have 7,659 choices of accommodation, an increase of 5.9% between 2004 and 2007.
